Manushi Chhillar: Bollywood actress and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar has often been seen talking openly for the welfare of women. They have now been added by the United Nations Development Program to their Global Plan on Women’s Rights and Security. In which the actress has been brought forward to tell women well about important social work.
Manushi said this during the interview
According to the news agency IANS, Manushi Chhillar spoke openly about the rights of women. “Violence against women has been a harsh reality in the society. Women have been socially conditioned since childhood to live with it,” she said.
Honored to be associated with UNDP
Manushi further added, “It is an honor and a privilege to be associated with UNDP on an issue that is so pervasive in our society, I have always spoken up for the rights of women in India and gender-based violence is an unfortunate reality Which is very important to eliminate from the ground level.
Manushi further added, “Through this small effort, we are trying to make everyone aware about the consequences of violence and encourage them to raise their voice against it, though it will help in changing the mindset of the people. It’s going to take a lot of time and effort, but we have to take our first step in the right direction very carefully, which matters a lot.”
